Young Playmakers Rationale

The rationale behind the formation of Young Playmakers is to provide the young persons with some idea of what is required in performing on stage and in front of people not necessarily known to them.

The benefits to the young person include increased confidence, the ability to articulate their thoughts and express new ideas, working with their peers and adults, improved self discipline, developed voice control, enhanced reading and social skills.

These benefits are achieved by the use of workshops, group discussions, role play, reading and analysis of scripts, with the intention of applying learned skills in the performance of various works.

The emphasis is on the young person enjoying the learning experience in a friendly structured manner.
